11/29/09 - Christmas Parade Recap
First of all, a HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers who stopped in last Tuesday to help out with serving snacks for the Appleton Downtown Christmas Parade! It was great. We made 6 batches of popcorn if I'm remember correctly. Went through 60+ packets of hot chocolate, 30 or so pounds of ice, and at least a hundred soda cups. That is a lot of people!

It was a great opportunity to reach out to the community and make some new connections with people. If you missed out, don't fear, there will be more opportunities like this in the future. Here at The CORE we strive to be part of the community and in a way that gives not always looking to get something in return. That Christian love is what catches people by surprise. It gives us the opportunity to plant a seed and let God work in people's hearts.

Thanks again to all of the volunteers who made it possible!
